Marilyn Straight Jeans In Plus Size - Rinse

I was wondering if these pants were flawed. They do not fit like the same style of jeans I bought two years ago. Right below the pockets there is excessive fabric. The length is fine I bought two pair. Sometimes when I make purchases online I wonder if I am getting a flawed product.

I purchased these jeans for my wife and she loves them, she likes the way they fit, the length and the stretch.
