My quilted Hovea

I've been wanting to make another quilted coat for many years, but was not satisfied with a pattern. Then I stumbled on the Hovea pattern by Megan Nielsen and plunged in. The biggest part of my decision was based on having detailed instructions, and this one did not disappoint. I also watched several YouTube videos before cutting it out. The assembly went smoothly and I'm planning to make a different version in a few months. The combination of a great instruction booklet and multiple videos has made me a big fan. Thank you to Megan Nielsen and the pattern testers!

Great pattern

I made the quilted coat using Shannon Fraser Designs pattern also. It took way longer to quilt the pieces than put the coat together. It was easy to understand, easy to sew together and fun to wear. I’m going to make the jacket next. It fits well and is big enough to wear a sweater under it. There are so many options to do exactly what I want to.
