Works great, keeps the mess in the tray. Small design flaw.
Great to have if you like to sharpen away from the sink area (in case someone's working around there). If you're buying the Debado MD stones (bought this the same time as the Debados), almost a must have as I don't think the Naniwa stone holder can hold those (per a different site, the Naniwa tops out at 218 mm long stones, the MDs I have are 225 to 230ish mm). I'm taking a star off though for the wonky implementation of spacers. If used on the tray, the whetstone holder needs to sit on two rubber spacers so the spine of the holder clears the rim of the tray. Why oh why couldn't Suehiro just make the rubber segments of the holder taller so the spine clears the rim of the tray? The spacers aren't attached to the holder, what if I loose them? You can see the two spacers that the holder sits on just to the right of the first pic. See second pic on why you them for the spine to clear the rim of the tray. A bit of a design flaw. Luckily, I keep all these and other sharpening accessories in a bag when not in use. And I don't lend out my nice tools to anyone.

Amazingly useful
The stone holder is useful for irregular or oversized stones and the tray is sufficiently grippy on the bottom/top to prevent sliding when in use. Very portable setup that’s perfect for quick touch-ups and keeping things organized in tight spaces. For a glorified piece of plastic, it's very satisfying to use. The stone holder stinks of rubber but the smell will dissipate after a few weeks.
