I set up a deep Hive body with all wax foundation and they have completely filled and capped it as a honey super! Excited to extract some honey this year!

It’s scary picking a beeswax supplier…

So, I could use my own wax or friends’ wax, but when I need all beeswax foundations, I have to go somewhere else (well I don’t HAVE to, but I am not down for creating these little masterpieces of architecture). After looking through the info on Foxhound and then receiving a box, I am ready to put my trust in them that they are sourcing from healthy comb. The sheets themselves have been of great quality. The ones I have received have been fragile, as expected, and are not all perfect, as expected. They are, however, all usable. The wire is a tiny gauge and the little insert ends can break off, but if only one or even two are missing, the breakaway shim from the frame is more than enough to be super secure with the remaining wire ends. Foxhound will be my go to for beeswax foundations until I develop the patience to make my own, which will be when i grow two extra arms and a pig flies by to pollinate my garden.
