I give it a 4
I like this slinger size, set-up and motor control and have hope they will last heartily. The cage and drain gate were delivered with very sharp edges and I have about 6 minor cuts from the stamped out metal, to date. I used a hand sander and sanded the sharp edges on the cage and now need to do the gate. I am hoping this will alleviate all the Band-Aids I've gotten. Also the cage manufacturer should grind off these sharp edges prior to delivery in the future, its like a Chinese wash machine frame.

Advice for Extracting Large Frames...
Just completed our second extraction with the new Maxx12. For medium frames, it is a dream and I can't say enough about the spring feet. They handled the slight imbalance of some partially filled frames flawlessly. Trying to spin large frames was a little trickier, however. As listed, it spins three large frames tangentially. Each time during our first two attempts, the force of extraction pulled the foundation out of the frame, stopping/slowing the motor and turning the frame into an unextractable mess. Eventually, we realized that you don't have to spin them as fast as those extracted radially. Start on 50rpm just to make sure everything is seated, then ramp up to about 150-160 fairly quickly to get through the "shaky zone." Don't exceed 175 rpm MAX and you should be just fine. If it's still a little out of balance, go ahead and flip them to relieve pressure on the back side and then return to extract the fronts after that side is completed. We haven't had any issues since adopting this procedure. It makes extracting large frames MUCH slower than the mediums, but we don't do all that many large frames anyway. Just FYI.

Great Product / Highly Recommend
After months of debating and comparison shopping, I made the decision to purchase this extractor. Shipping was fast and efficient. Assembly was a piece of cake. I also purchased the spring feet and would recommend them highly. Just finished extracting the 2026 crop and are thoroughly pleased with the performance of this equipment. Prior to this year I had used a manual extractor and not having to crank and crank was a blessing. We extracted more honey this year and this extractor played a role in that. As anyone who has used a manual extractor knows, arm fatigue is real. It's easy to load / remove frames due to the lid opening fully. The position of the honey gate allows more thorough drainage from the tank. While it does shake about with an uneven load, the spring feet keep it from dancing across the floor. I would highly recommend this product.
