This grinder is so compact and quiet but quickly grinds through the dose. Very happy with grinder so far. The low retention claim might be a bit bold as there is often coffee that drops down after you remove the catch cup.

Great grinder

I upgraded from a Breville Smart Grinder Pro. The Fellow Ode Gen 2 is a great step up. It gives perfect, precise control for a whole range of brewing options. I primarily use it for Moccamaster and V60. The grinder is fairly quiet compared to my old one and the magnet under the container is a thoughtful design inclusion. You can tell Fellow have thought about the experience with that and with the handy chart of grind sizes and brewing methods that sits under the hopper cover.

Sweeter and better clarity

The Ode is a great grinder that is a pleasure to use. My filter coffees (from a Technivorm Mochamaster) is noticeably sweeter and with better clarity than my old grinder (which was no slouch). Highly recommended.
