Gut Microbiome Test for Dogs

Confirmed my suspicions

I am so happy I listened to my instincts and purchased this test for my female dog. He's very sensitive and reactive and I felt like I was missing something that could help her adjust better. I listened to a Holistic Vet Podcast talking about gut-brain axis and how a lot of traditional vets will put dogs on anti-depressants to help with behavioral problems. I did a google search for dog Microbiome tests and found Animal Biome. It was an easy process and the results provided good explanations. My girl had many beneficial bacteria present but they're were not in the ideal proportions. I purchased a 30 day supply of Gut Restore and by week 3 her personality has changed for the better. She's so happy all the time and recovers well from being startled or loud noises. It's been amazing to watch. She is now taking the S. boulardii + FOS daily powder. I will retest her in about a couple of months to see how things are progressing, but from just seeing how her personality is changing for the better, I can see these products REALLY work! Highly recommend.

Hopefully it wiil tell me how to deal with my dogs stomach issues. I really can’t rate it yet since I am still waiting for my results.

Test is helpful but website is atrocious and a pain to use

I’ve given my dogs the gut test six times. They’ve made improvements to the test kit itself, which makes it easier, such as placing the ID number in multiple places. The kit also collects two samples instead of just one now. But the pet portal website to register the samples is just one of the worst medical and consumer websites I’ve ever used. It times out frequently, whether using it from my phone or a laptop connected to Ethernet. It only works on a chrome browser. I typically make myself a cup of tea and brace for one of the worst web experiences I’ve ever had, knowing that I’ll probably have to go through it multiple times. It completely sucks and if my vet didn’t recommend the quality of their products and test, I would go with any competitor over this. Additionally, there is an option to provide your pet’s info to your vet, but it has never worked for us. My vet and I spent countless hours trying to make it work. Don’t waste your time on that. And don’t mess with this kit unless you’re tech savvy, otherwise you’ll be wasting the $$$. Good luck!
