I bought this because my Dressmaker 950-B did not come with a gathering foot (at least not when it came to be mine) and I would like to be able to do gathers on garments I make. My machine is a high shank machine, and this gathering foot fit perfectly. I have not used it yet, but it fits my machine, and I am pleased with that.
