xDuoo XD-05 BAL Balanced DAC/Amp

Great unit overall.

I have had this for about 3 months now, and am glad I waited to write my review. For the first week or two, the little nits (input button placement, power switches) bothered me, but once I figured out how to work around them, I have nothing but enjoyment from this unit. The sound quality is great. Both wired (USB) and wireless. Battery life has been great, too. It took a couple of charging cycles but now the battery life is terrific. The Bluetooth range is very good. Not quite what my AirPods get, but as good or better than any other Bluetooth connection I have. The Bluetooth button also works for play/pause, next track and last track. While the design has a few quirks to get used to, I am glad I did and use it as my primary amp every day.

So I love this amp...but it doesn't seem as powerful as the xd-05(model below this) amazing design and build quality and very happy that Bluetooth is built in...I just seem to find that my headphones need more power to get to where I want them to be...but regardless this Amp is amazing and I and I'm going to invest in different headphones to see if I can get everything out if this amp

Overpriced

Xduoo makes very good products however this unit is OVERPRICED, if you are looking for a portable bluetooth dac/amp. It is almost identical to the "Xduoo 05 Plus" or "Xduoo 05 Basic" in size but has the addition of integrated Bluetooth, a balanced output, a balanced coaxial digital port, the ability to change the opamp, but you CANNOT change music tracks on the unit and DO NOT get more power then the "Xduoo 05 Plus". If you plug and play the "Xduoo 05 Basic" and "X duoo 05 Plus" are available at more reasonable pricing and work great. If you enjoy tinkering with your dac/amp this unit may be for you.
