Given that 99.9% of all plugs are polarized, the socket was a real pain to find plugs for, and in fact, I've finally put a non-polarized plug on the short motor cord, and a another non-polarized plug on the light cord, but both are too big to fit, together on the socket. Thankfully, the light cord is long enough to reach the wall socket. The pigtails for the controller were fine, but getting TO the contacts, and putting it all back together, was a nightmare. That, however was not YOUR problem. I would suggest making the socket holes, at least, polarized size, even though the wiring wouldn't necessarily need to be polarized. At least, then plugs would be MUCH easier to find.
