Bolero length and shape that goes from casual to dressy—wear with anything!

From photos I thought it would be a bit longer, but waist/high-hip as the description says, is pretty accurate. It's a bolero that goes from casual to dressy—not a formal, rib-length as some boleros are. Small drafting issue: In the size I made (TALL 18), the shoulder seams don't match—the front shoulder seam is about 1/2" wider than the back. FIT is nicely snug—the band hugs the body really comfortably at the lower edge, and acts almost exactly like princess seams from shoulder to lower edge.

I always remember my Aunt wearing boleros when I was a kid. When I saw the pattern and studied it, I thought it's just what I need for my upcoming vacation. The pattern is easy to follow and easy to sew. My downfall was the fabric I chose. Next one will be a little bit heavier knit. I might also add a very lightweight iron-on interfacing for the entire band because of the light knit used it lays a little wonky, not bad. But I will think about it for the next one and there will be a next one.
