Porter pickup Classic

I love this pickup. A few years back I bought and had installed the Smooth/Classic combo in a custom built guitar I had. The original Humbucker's were dying. They brought the Guitar back to life. I can't say enough good about them. They're clear airy, open and transparent with just the right amount of gain when turned up full volume and distortion and overdrive pedals are used. When you back them down they clean up and have a great clean sound. Sorry my humble opinion applies to both the Smooth and Classic Humbucker's Porter makes. I rated the smooth Bucker as well. I just bought this new set for a Firefly Guitar I recently bought, The Guitar plays great and looks great. However the pickups that came in it were basically horrible sounding so I'm replacing them with Porters. Can't beat a great Porter pickup.

Sure T7 FM upgrade

Chocolatey smooth tones in the neck to offset the Porter overdrive in the bridge. Coil split or full on, great tones all the way

I have been using Brians stuff now for a bit in a couple guitars. When I needed a custom neck pickup for my semi hollow, I contacted Brian stating what I would like from it. He gave some ideas and we rolled with it. All I can say is, he nailed it! Brian makes killer stuff. I’ve used so many different brands over the years and Brian’s stuff stands up to anything out there and then some. Thanks again!
