I have been buying this same product for the past 6-7 years, and it feels more and more industrial as time passes, first with moving from traditional salami paper packaging to plastic shrinkwrap, and with this latest delivery it doesn't even look like a sausage anymore just like a long tube of meat with flat ends on either side. There is also no salami skin at all now just plastic container. On the plus side this makes slicing it at the ends a bit easier, and maybe the plastic makes the salamir store longer (???) however i must say I still prefer the traditional version they had before. I think I can taste a difference although without side by side comparison it's hard to say 100%. It's still better than what I can find elsewhere in the US so will continue buying but...

I love this finocchiona! Distinctly fennel, with aromatic inflections recalling freshly grated nutmeg and warm hazelnuts. Rich and buttery with just the right amount of chew. No nitrates/nitrites nor any type of added sugar. Terrific!
