Pirastro Eudoxa Viola Strings review
I was in need of getting new viola strings so I looked at reviews online. Most of them were mixed good-bad. I ordered these strings because one review said "you must try these at least once", so I ordered them. The C, D, & A strings were fine, but the G string had a flaw. I contacted Fiddlershop through email and connected with Christina (who was super helpful). The string was replaced, no hassle. As for my review of actually playing on these strings, the verdict is still out. They are not completely settled in yet and, as expected, need to be tuned often, although there's less and less adjustment needed as time goes by. I did notice weather (especially rainy, warm days) make a huge difference. I haven't taken it anywhere as yet, just playing at home. The strings have a rich tone and have an easy feel under the fingers. I'm not sure if I would order them again, mostly because of the instability of needing tuning adjustments often. Time will tell.
