This is the second adapter I’ve purchased from Outdoorsmans, but I bought the shorter version this time around. Great fit around my Binos and super reliable. Spendy, but you gotta pay to play when it comes to quality.

Thumb/finger wings in lieu if knurled knob

When I first received my tripod adapter, I was frustrated on how I couldn't get the knurled knob tight enough to keep the binoculars from pivoting in the adapter. I thought I had received a defective one, so I contacted the Outdoorsman and they immediately sent me out a replacement. But unfortunately, the replacement did the same thing. So, I took the adapter to a machinist and had him drill a hole in the knurled knob slightly larger than tip on a 28 Gauge Beretta Chock Tube Wrench and it fit perfectly. After 11 years, I never looked back and I resolved my issue of the binoculars pivoting in the adapter. I think this issued could have been resolved if The Outdoorsman would have machined thumb/finger wings in lieu of a knurled knob. The 4th and 5th photo shows how I attach the wrench to my tripod, to keep from misplacing it. I like the adapter, but it cost me money to perfect it.
