Mini Claw in Sea Shell Checker

Was dissatisfied with this clip only, there were spots on it that were darker than the rest of the clip on both sides making the checked pattern unnoticeable. I reached out to customer service and they basically said oh well all we can do is exchange it for the same clip...but I still have to pay shipping lmao. It would have been a much better solution in my opinion to either A give me a discount code for my future order B send the money back for that 1 clip or C let me pick a different clip all together....I don't understand why they want me to send this clip back when it doesn't look good?
