Good shoes, but inconsistent sizing

I like these shoes; they're comfortable and since the front of the shoe isn't the normal crescent shape of flats, it doesn't dig into the top of my foot like usual. I bought these shoes in the same size in 2 colors - tan and black. However, the black seems like a full half size larger and I have to wear socks in order for them to fit. And I couldn't size down, as that's the size I originally bought before exchanging because they were too small.

Good Shoe

I must be honest--the shoes are not as perfect as in the past--and I've purchased eight pairs over the years. I had difficulty finding the perfect size-- they run large, including these. I'm keeping them but will need to add innersoles. . With prior shoes, I could wear then all day (including as bedroom slippers).
