Fan Speed Control - Variable Speed Rheostat

Perfect manual switch for my Drolet Escape 1500-I Wood Insert.

The perfect switch. Identical to the one in my wood insert that is automatic and it doesn't star much. With this manual switch I solved my problem. The video is very nice, I was able to do by myself. Thanks!!

Nice Rheostat

I recently purchased a new blower for my wood stove stove insert, but I felt that it was spinning too fast and making too much noise--like a turbo! So I purchased this switch thinking that if it couldn't slow the fan down, at least it had a feature where I could turn the fan off. My current switch has no off setting. While removing the old switch, I saw that it was pretty similar to this new switch. Both have a little white dial in the back. With a miniature screwdriver, I experimented with turning the dial different ways. I found if you turn the dial clockwise, it will drastically reduce the fan. I was able to lower the speed of the new blower by simply turing that adjustment point on my old rheostat, without having to install the new one from Midwest Hearth. However, it is nice knowing I have a replacement switch now and one that can turn the blower off if need be.

This controller is working very good and I'm glad we got in touch with y'all
