Great Stones!
I'm new to high level manual knife sharpening, but found these two stones a perfect fast easy way to accomplish both 'quick' routine kitchen knife tune-ups (Henkles) and more involved careful sharpening of my nice Japanese knives. My only suggestion is to provide separate cases - or a separating sheet (I made my own from ABS sheet) to protect the stones from rubbing together (this may just be my OCD). I searched and found the Naniwa Stone Boxes in 3/4 inch to fit these ($9.00 on SharpeningSupplies.com). I also bought a 1 1/8" box for the Cerax stone which should have come with box. You do have to cut out the internal ribs some to get the stones to fit, but at least you have a proper storage box.

Great especially for Japanese Knives?
I have been sharpening for almost a year, but only German knives. The stones seem excellent (and shipping was very fast), and I used them just a couple of times. I have the doubt that for German knives there is not much difference compared to the basic Naniwa stones I use (1000/3000 combination, 25 euros). So, this is a great opportunity to try out Japanese knives. I decided to start with the medium-carbon Tojiro DP VG10, 21 cm. We'll see

These stones are great
I’m only new to the sharpening game, having used some generic ones of Amazon, wanting to step up my game with these stones. After watching the video how to sharpen your knife like a pro on YouTube I was keen to try them out. I am blown away and the feel and the sharpness level I am getting now. Highly recommended
