Peace of mind! Easy way to protect my machine from scale buildup while still getting excellent flavor.

Definitely tastes different, unsure if worth it
Bought this as a novelty along with some other coffee things I needed. I've been using a BWT filter, and I feel it has done me well, and I've enjoyed the taste of that water. Formulating and storing this water has been easy, even as a non-American who can find packets sized for distilled water measured in litres. It definitely makes a nice cup of coffee, that tastes a bit different than what comes out with my filter. Not better, not worse, just different, across the few roasts I've evaluated. A 2/4L yield of water for me, an espresso drinker, goes pretty far, I don't think it would produce as much waste as I feared it would, but it still produces more than using a water filter. I don't have a great way of eyeballing my coffee machine to see how much mineral buildup it creates compared to my other water preparation methods. I don't have a great way of comparing the Total Dissolved Minerals? values of my filtered water compared to distilled water with these packages dissolved. If your current ways of getting and prepping water doesn't work well for you, this is worth trying. It's still worth trying if you enjoy your current water preparation, but I don't think it will be night and day different. If you already have a distillation system at home, or a PureWater filter, this is one way of making that water work with espresso machines.
