Much More Bitter Than Expected

I was really looking forward to trying this cold brew, especially since I ordered the medium roast. Unfortunately, the flavor was much more bitter than I expected. To me, it tasted closer to a very dark roast that had been over-roasted. Even after adding more water, milk, or a little sugar, the bitterness remained quite strong and tended to overpower the other flavors. I personally prefer a smoother, more balanced medium roast with less of that intense bitterness. Overall, it just wasn’t the flavor profile I was expecting from a medium roast. I appreciate the quality of La Colombe, but this particular cold brew was unfortunately too bitter for my taste.

Ordered this for my husband. He’s a fan. Depending on how fast he goes through it, I might need to order the subscription fridge pack. Stumbled upon the La Colombe Mocha Espresso Roast in our grocery store, and I love it.

5 stars for convenience, and in a bulk amount 5 stars for strength and flavor The body of the coffee is...thin. Half n half makes it better, but oatmilk leaves it p thin. That's my only complaint. I wanted to make this 4.5 stars, but couldn't.
