Knife Engraving

Love Seisuke but had a few issues.

It was the 2nd time I personally purchased from Seisuke. Both times were for my husband, as gifts. He is a pro chef that orders all the time from Seisuke. He loves there items. Unfortunately, this time we had a few issues and it left me a little disappointed. The biggest issue was the engraving. I thought it would be translated to Japanese, when it would be engraved. That is the way I perceived it, by example of on the website. I type his name in English thinking Seisuke would translate it to Japanese and engrave it that way. When we received the knife, the engraving looked poorly done & very unprofessional. Plus, it was in English. The location of the engraving was not where we thought it would be also. The website should give better clarity, regarding language choices and as to where the engraving location would be or could be. Exact format/font for the item being engrave. Possibly have picture examples of the customers exact item with what they would like engraved on it. To see what it should look like. Possibly, with the option to edit the location, size, font and language on the item before ordering. Other then the engraving process. The website is pretty easy to navigate. The other surprised issue we had was delivery & packaging of the product. I was sent an estimate arrival date. But, only until after the date passed then was sent a different date of arrival and location of the where product was. I received a delivery confirmation the day before it was delivered. When it did arrived over a week later then expected. The knife wasn't in a protected box. It was wrapped with plastic, then in a yellow envelope not padded and wrapped with plastic again and taped. I thought that was weird because all of our previous orders were always on time. Packed in a nice box with the company logo and packaged very well. Hopefully, all of the issues we had were isolated to only this order. But still I think it was very unusual for Seisuke. Especially, when you spent over two hundred dollars on a knife you would think it would be protected better. We love ordering from Seisuke and hope this never happens again.

Great knife, bad decision giving it away!

I got my wife a wonderful kitchen knife for her birthday and got it engraved saying it was FOR HER ONLY! Bad idea, she won’t let me use the knife 😰😂 I guess I’ll need to get one for myself!

Excellent knife, excellent service

After being severely disappointed by another company's knife I went looking for a new one and stumbled upon this website, I found a beautiful knife and was impressed at how thorough the information was presented, from the manufacturer, to the material and style. I ordered it and found thoughtful packaging and quick delivery. This knife so far has been lightweight, sharp, precise and reliable. I look forward to my next purchase
