Messed up custom Christmas order

I had ordered an apron with custom embroidery for a Christmas gift for a visiting family member coming from out of the country. My order was placed on December 10 and received on December 22 with plenty of time to wrap and put under the tree, however when I received the package there was no embroidery on it. I contacted customer service and an automated response told me that due to overwhelming traffic they would get back to me. It wasn't until after the new year that I was contacted and told that a new apron with embroidery would be resent and that the previously sent apron would need to be returned. Ultimately, the new apron was received and the old one returned. Unfortunately, our family member had already left for home so now I need to ship it from Hawaii to Peru. Not a great Christmas experience leaving me with an added shipping expense.
