Could be perfect with a few changes.
This filter is almost perfect. The backflush feature makes it so much easier to set up for an efficient auto flush with an electric valve. It's well built and quite solid for a plastic housing. I wish it had a filter available that would let a little more of the super fine sediment through. Most other sand filters offer different micron sizes (even the cheaply built ones) but this one only offers a filter that is so fine that it plugs with iron bacteria. The other problem I have is that filter bulbs have the threads on them. This means you have to spin the bulb to remove it which means you have to add a union to the drain line. This makes it very hard to remove the filter for cleaning. Other brands use a large ring shaped nut that fits over the bulb and allows for removal without spinning the bulb. A few changes and this could be the perfect filter.
