After two months without running water when a hurricane all but destroyed our city water delivery system, I started giving thought to what all goes into water to meet state and local guidelines. Once the water was flowing again, it didn't taste or look quite right, so I held out a bit longer, using the water provided by FEMA contractors that I had stockpiled. Then one day, my husband said he wanted to get some water bottle filters, looking to the inevitable compromising of our water source again in the future. The Water Machine was a better option and it's turned out to be the perfect option! It's easy to set up, easy to fill, and looks to require minimal maintenance. I'm not going to lie and say that the taste is fantastic, because our water doesn't have any taste, but not tasting anything is a big win! A friend who spent his career setting up clean water systems in developing countries said that it looked good to him, so I decided to go for it!
