I was impressed with the Galaxy DX959b purchased from RCR, and wanted a Base Station Radio , so i chose the DX 2547. The entire control layout is perfect and the Radio is easy to learn . I have made several contacts within 5 miles of my location, and all of the operators have been impressed with the power and clarity of the unit . I have had great luck with a homebuilt antenna consisting of a 102 inch whip atop [ 4] 102 inch radials , furnishing a solid ground plane , and operating at a level of 32 feet above ground . MANY thanks to RCR in the help studying and choosing this TOP QUALITY gear .
