The radio is perfect for my needs! It is a plug in radio, not permanently installed! The radio is in the mic and takes up little room! I transfer it from vehicle to vehicle! It is as clear as any can radio I have ever owned! I bought a Little Wil but had to change to the Wil 1000 to get strong signal! It is a great set up!
