Bio Fumigant
Bought a pound of seeds to experiment using it as a bio fumigant. My garden is infested with root knot nematodes. Germination was good. The growth rate and resulting biomass was excellent. It has been terminated and incorporated into the soil. If it has had any effect on the nematodes will have to wait for my fall garden. If it doesn’t work it still a good cover/green manure crop.

Great Summer Cover Crop
My sandy soil doesn’t hold water and the legume cover crops leave a waxy residue when they break down that makes the soil more hydrophobic. This annual grass germinates quickly, easy to chop for green manure, roots help hold moisture in the sand. Useful for depressing symphylan populations.
