This barrel made a remarkable difference in tone and playability. It softened the tone, evened the changeover between registers, allowed me to play the highest notes at lower volumes, and the larger bore made the whole clarinet more responsive and easier to blow. Amazing how one small piece of equipment can change everything. Now I have to test the intonation.

I love this barrel! It gives me a nice, focused tone with freedom to play in all registers. I'd be interested in trying a complete Backun set up.
