I got the hammock this winter and spent a number of nights out in 30 degree weather… could NOT stay warm and was wondering what I was doing wrong. Adding this 4-season insulation seemed to help a bunch, both with keeping the drafts down and with actually providing some insulation (egg crate type), though it is just “below” and not up the sides like a true underquilt. I have also experimented with the Double Bubble pad on there, which also seems to help but I wake up with the bottom of my sleeping bag being wet from condensation— it doesn’t breathe well. Anyway, have spent about a half dozen nights out in 30-40 weather and have been much more comfy. Still need a good sleeping bag and/or blanket, etc. Glad I had it.
