I have been trying to find an alternative close to what I used to use for making my cold smoked salmon. My old Hickory smoked salt was discontinued and everything out there is either too coarse or mesquite. This is the perfect smoke/texture for my lox making.

Great Spice

The salt, hickory smoke is great. We use it on steaks. Hickory Salt is hard to find. If one hasn’t used it, try it - you’ll like it.
