Great Boonie Hat

The hat is well constructed of Supplex which is comfortable on hot sunny days. I expect to machine wash the hat in cold water and hang dry on a door knob, over night, one or more times a week. Supplex should last 10-20 years with minimal shrinkage. The brim runs 3-3.1inches all the way around, providing good protection against the sun from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, typically the highest daytime UV period. I wear the chin cord around the back of my head, Canadian Mounty style. I wear a 7 5/8 in Stetson: I am not tightening the sweat band cord. I prefer a looser fit.
