I was specifically looking for a small variety of gingko (not available at my local nurseries) and was happy to find it at New Blooms. It was a little confusing about when the tree would actually ship (so I was uncertain when to prepare the planting site), but the team was good about communicating as the time got closer. The only big pitfall with receiving a dormant plant in late October is that even though I have followed the directions to the "T" (planting, mulching, watering) since there is no foliage on the tree, it is very hard to tell whether it is okay and has survived the process. It will be a long wait until spring to find out.

I recently ordered 16 Sky Tower Ginkgo's to create a unique hedge for a client. This was my first time ordering plants online, as I usually go through my trusted local vendors. I had some hesitation, but I really wanted to try this particular cultivar and see how it performs.
