Headrest for Steelcase Leap V2 Chair

Goes from a "good chair" to a "perfect chair"

My biggest problem with the Leap v2 is that the back does not extend high enough up my shoulders. I'm only 5'11", so I think this probably impacts a lot of people. The headrest allows me to rest my head and thus my entire upper body back on the chair making for a much more comfortable experience. The chair simply isn't worth it unless you get this headrest.

Yes But Have A Care

Having spent too much time time and some more money getting the thing attached, I would strongly suggest buying a chair with the headrest already attached. I have a Steelcase Leap 2. Attaching the extremely well made headrest was not a simple matter. The video on the Atlas website was unhelpful in the extreme. Rushed. Without necessary steps. The tech support people—I assume there were people and not AI—were repetitive and not helpful. So as an old guy I did a smart thing and called my handyman. Young and strong. And believe me, it took his agility and strength to finally attach it. Buy a chair with the headrest already attached. A diligent and productive worker probably doesn’t need the thing anyway.

A Perfect Solution

My headset for my Steelcase Leap was well-packaged and arrived very promptly. The instructions were easy to follow and the attachment was quick without needing any tools. After a few simple adjustments to my body the headset is exactly what I needed. It feels like a whole new chair now. Highly recommended.
