Sturdy Pots
These 4 inch pots are my go to pots for starting tomatoes and peppers. I keep the plants in from germination to transplant and they hold up well. I don't know how well they break down in the soil. I remove the transplant from pot before planting, but I do add the pots to my composter after planting.

mixed feelings
pro: they aren't plastic, and you can bury them right into the soil.
con: they soak up and hold lots of water; they dry out fast but also encouraging mold growth, and the roots grow through them very quickly, often before I can replant outdoors
Overall: I will continue to use them

Great pots for transplanting
These pots were great for transplanting tomatoes and pepper seedlings, until I could put them outside. Then I could put them right in the ground.
