Pacific Northwest Garlic Combo
Received a healthy quantity of both Music and Italian Late. Nice sized bulbs in both groups arrived early October in good condition though I was out of the country so didn't get the opportunity to plant them until November 29th. None had sprouted and remained solid. After top dressing my 4' x 10' raised bed with compost, I added both blood meal and bone meal to the planting hole. Looking forward to my mid-late summer harvest.
I actually had too many cloves, so put aside about 25 peeled ones in white vinegar in mason jars in the refrigerator. Tried this experiment last season-Garlic does not absorb any of the vinegar and it does not pickle them.

Werewolves Beware!
The large well formed bulbs arrived promptly on October 3. I planted them in a shallow well -drained, raised bed containing a mixture of topsoil and steer manure, atop a sandy dune on the North Oregon Coast. Six weeks later, all have sprouted, their green leaves reaching for the heavens. What a joy it is to watch them welcome the cold, wet, windy, fall weather. We now have 48 reasons to pray for a swift return of spring and summer. Thank you Territorial!

Looking Good so Far
The Italian Late green shoots came up out of the garden soil right away. Music took 2 or 3 weeks longer. My only quibble is that the cloves in the two Music bulbs were so huge. As a result I only had 10 or 12 total cloves to plant. Luckily I had some leftover Music cloves from last year so I was able to plant more.
