I’ve been growing tomatoes for over 50 years. These tomatoes look fine, got to be decent size, but they are absolutely mushy and tasteless on the inside. These heirloom varieties may have been married, but it was a marriage made in hell.

Amazing flavor, ripens in the PNW

I love Brandywine tomatoes, but they don't ripen early enough in the Pacific Northwest. Enter Genuwine. It's a lovely tomato with so many of the qualities of Brandywine, but it ripens well and doesn't split as much, either. It has been added to my "grow this one every year" list.
