Great Lettuce!
This lettuce was one of the best in my garden last year. It stayed tasty and crunchy even in the heat of late summer without bolting. My family loved it for the mild flavor and juicy crunch, and the light green leaves provided a nice backdrop for the other highly colored and flavored lettuces I grew.

doing well
Started in Hydroponic system and they are quick to start and then transferred to greenhouse and outdoor garden where they grow like crazy. Great flavor and last awhile after picking

Germination rate is very poor
I love the heads this strain produces, but the germination rate is extremely poor. This is my 3rd attempt this season. I sowed in 3" pots with the same high quality starter mix I use with everything else. Knowing how poorly it has germinated previously, I sowed about 5-8 seeds in each corner of the pot. Only 75% of the pots produced any starts, and those only had 1-2 starts each. Contrast that with the Truchas and Continuity varieties which germinated at better than 80% (1 seed in each corner results in 3-4 starts in every pot).
This is the only dud seed I've ever purchased from Territorial. Everything else has been great. Will definitely be looking for a different variety next year.
