Merlin Beets
I have purchased Merlin beets for years from TS Co. and they are absolutely my favorite. I also steam the tops as you would spinach so I get two vegetables in one. That's a win in my book. These beets develop pretty evenly and I julienne them and then pickle them. I love going to my pantry in winter to get these delicious, homegrown vegetables to heat up for dinner.

Spotty emergence
Planted Azuma, Boro, and Merlin in late July for fall beets, PNW, daily highs ~80F, nights ~60F. Same soil, same irrigation, same sun. Merlin did not do well -- low germination and emergence %. Azuma did great, Boro not far behind.
