ActiveRestore Hinged Bunion Splint

It doesn't pull my big toe outwards at all

I am going to return this because my big toe is in exactly the same position with it on as without it. I have the velcro pulled tight across my instep. It won't go any tighter because of the bones. I guess it might help if you wanted it to protect the bunion if it was painful but that is not a problem with me. I wanted it to pull my toe outwards in the hope of preventing the bunion getting much worse. It also has a small flap with velcro on the inside of the big toe. There is no explanation why this is there. I have the unhinged similar one which is very good and does what I want but I only wear it for a few hours at night because you can't walk in it.

I couldn’t really get the splint to stay in position, it just slowly spun around my foot and did nothing to reposition the toe. I am using toe spacers at the moment.
