Terrific Pattern, Take Your Time and Enjoy

I absolutely LOVE this pattern! Read carefully and don’t rush and the result will be well worth it! I have made five and they all turned out great! I did lengthen the straps and I added two buttons that were used as stoppers to keep the straps from slipping out while wearing and allowing for multiple sized children to wear. The video tutorial was very helpful! They take time to make but following the pattern and using the interfacing suggested and batting makes the project successful! I used cotton batting for quilting for one and a synthetic batting for the others, and both worked well. I’m not a super experienced sewer, but if you can sew a straight line and follow a curve, you can do this! I was very careful in cutting out my pattern pieces which helped too! My “grands” just loved them!

Slow down and enjoy all the little details

This pattern is lovely. The instructions are really detailed and go through all of the materials and little tricks you need to make wings. It's not an easy make, but the end result is so worth it. My advice is to take your time, use the right interfacing and read the instructions more times than you think you need to. I received this pattern as part of Twig + Tale's Storytellers team
