Looks good, not waterproof

I bought this jacket for a trip to Ireland and thought it would be good because it’s so packable and I knew there would be occasional rain. The packability was indeed great and it packed easily into a cross body bag for when I needed it. However, this thing is not waterproof. The DWR repels some water for sure but it did not take very long for me to start getting wet underneath around the shoulders and back. Could be a faulty seam but it wasn’t even raining hard. Also disappointed to see that the elastic band is already fraying at the seam. I probably will avoid using it to pack it down now. Anyways, it looks great and stops wind effectively. Not so good for wet conditions though.

Excellent rain coat

Light weight and packs up tight, the only downside is I haven’t been caught in any rain.

Buttery soft

This jacket is the perfect layer for rainy days or just days with a slight chill. Unless other shells like it, it seems to breathe well too. Add layers under it in the winter and you’re ready for anything. Customer service was also awesome. Keep it up topo.
