DGT Smart Board - Without Pieces

Very Satisified

I've been interested in DGT board for some time, but couldn't justify the price. I recently purchased the DGT smartboard, and I'm very happy with it. I bought the version without pieces because I didn't like the look of the plastic pieces. I paired it with the DGT classic wood pieces. They are the perfect size for the smartboard, and look great. The board itself is plastic, but has a wood grain appearance. It looks great with the wood pieces. I already had Fritz 15 so I didn't use the Fritz 14 that came with the board. Connecting it to Fritz was straight forward and works great. This essentially gives you a chess computer with the ability to use any engine compatible with Fritz. I've also successfully connected it with Lichess to play online games and that works great too. I tried connecting with chess.com, and it loses connection with the board after several moves. This is an issue with chess.com and not the DGT board. Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend getting this board.

Excellent DGT Board

I own the older Bluetooth version but this one is lighter and more responsive. The finish honesty looks very aesthetically pleasing and has a 'wood' finish-appearance. As usual great support from the Chesshouse Staff.

A nice alternative to the wooden board

I bought the DGT Smartboard for a friend of mine and he and his sons absolutely love it! They've played multiple games on it and it simply amazing. If you're on a budget, or if you just don't want to spend the money for a wooden board then the Smartboard is a great alternative. The quality is simply spectacular. It's a plastic board that feels like wood. And as a bonus, *all* the DGT-enabled chess pieces can be used with it. And of course, the service from chess house was topnotch.
