NYMZO truly has outdone themselves with their Stanton Series 1. What makes the pieces absolutely phenomenal is both their durability, the complete smoothness of running each piece across the mat, and it's surprisingly large setting that is just big enough to fit most of any traveling setting. The mat likewise is amazing, as I have not ever had any issues with it being creased a certain way. Honestly, if you ask me there really isn't anything I would ever change or say that is inherently wrong about this chess set. But for the future I really hope they add in some dark toned chess mats that aren't just the black/metallic combo. Because those sell out faster than the others. A forest green/beige mat would go incredibly well to fit a more creative tournament chessboard. But outside of all of that this set is definitely well worth the money if you play chess regularly. The pieces I received are top notch, and I'm very pleased with this purchase! My set arrived with very well done packaging, and outstanding craftsmanship! I'm looking forward to years of play from this set!
