I recently got an Indian cookbook for Christmas. My daughter is a vegetarian and we were looking for recipes “outside of the box” for her. Your spices have made authentic Indian cooking the rage in our house.

A good kick in the mouth!

I was trying out a new Indian recipe for Bhujia in the Bean by Bean cookbook which called for mustard seeds, so to the Gneiss Spice shop I went, and I was not disappointed. The mustard seeds really give a spicy kick to the dish--I had to refill my water glass three times while eating dinner! Now I'm inspired to see how I can spice up other recipes with these seeds--pasta/potato salads are going to be exciting this summer :) (Just for fun, pop a few seeds in your mouth to chew!)
