2012 Haiwan Mini Brick Ripe Pu-erh Tea

Great pu-erh!

This tea is my favorite pu-erh, the packaging is also great and it’s very balanced.

Convenient and decent, basic shou

Not nearly as fishy as it smells in quantity. A somewhat light-tasting shou, though not quite what I'd call mild. The taste is slightly thinner and more tannic than is usual for shou - reminiscent of a standard black/red tea - but the earthy, fungal flavours one expects from shou are present as well. Would make a decent 'daily' tea, not least because of the convenient format.
