Better than expected
I had an Aiper Seagull prior to this. I had nothing but problems and actually had to send it back 2 times. It was ok but didn't pick up fine stuff and when you pick it up the stuff comes right out of the cracks back into the water. The Beatbot is great so far! It picks up fine stuff and keeps it in the tank. I am pleased at how well it picks up. Wish I would have it before!

Dive Dude
That’s one of the biggest surprises with the Beatbot Sora 10 a.k.a Dive Dude (I bought the ISkim ultra a.ka Swim Dude shortly after because of the great results )— you don’t realize how much fine dust and debris is sitting in the pool until you empty the basket. Even pools that look clean can have tons of dirt, pollen, sand, and tiny leaf fragments constantly circulating. The waterline cleaning is another huge advantage on the Sora 10. Those little leaves and dust rings that stick to the tile are usually what make a pool start looking dull, and having the robot scrub that area regularly keeps the pool looking polished all the time.

Efficient Little Machine
I purchased the Beatbot Sora 10 a little over a month ago to replace another vacuum that died (not beatbot). For reference, I have a 30,000 gallon inground pool. It's a standard oval shape with a vinyl liner. I knew this was an entry level machine going in and with use every 2-3 days, the sora 10 has kept my pool immaculate. The vacuum is incredibly easy to use. I simply place it along the wall of my pool, let it sit for five seconds, and then let go. It floats to the bottom, without bobbing or banging against the floor, and gets to work. It's small but MIGHTY. It picks up everything at the base of my pool... from tiny dirt and sand to rogue worms, leaves, and sticks. It DOES struggle with smaller particles in seams and I have to brush where my walls meet the floor/where my decline levels out in my deep end, but it's not enough of an inconvenience for me to knock off a star. Floor mode runs for a standard 3 hours and that's enough time to cover the entire floor of my pool twice. Standard mode runs for about 5 hours (give or take) and cleans the walls, waterline, and floor. I've noticed on this mode, some patches are left uncleaned on my pool floor. So to maximize the machine's productivity, I switch modes for each use. The beatbot crawls up the walls with ease and makes a few passes at the waterline, effectively scrubbing all of the pollen and dust stuck there. The dual front brushes do their job effectively. Although it does not appear to have any sort of mapping or AI tracking – which is a shame – it effectively maneuvers around the two step ladders and obstacles my kid leaves in the pool. The app is straightforward, but could benefit from some added features. It goes offline whenever it enters cleaning mode, which makes tracking it's covered area impossible. I'd like to know where it's cleaned, similar to regular house robot vacuums. I'd also love a push notification when it's finished cleaning. Since the beatbot parks itself on the wall for ten minutes after cleaning, a notification it was done would save me from having to fish it out with a hook every time. Lastly, the teal color makes it easy to spot against my dark liner and the basket is huge compared to my last vacuum and very easy to clean with a hose. Overall, I'm thrilled with my purchase and hope my efficient little machine lasts for many summers.
