Julbos for me.
Julbos work for me best out of all the brands I've tried. This is the third pair I have owned, going back about 20 years now. The optics are clear - these lenses do distort some, but all lenses do, it seems, most much more noticeably than these. The reactive technology works well, though it does seem most suitable for lower to moderately bright sun conditions. When it's really bright out and I am riding through varying light conditions - like open road to shady to forested conditions - my eyes can get sore, as if from squinting too much - in the brightest sections. So that's a long way around to saying what I read in another comment: it'd be nice if the darkest mode of these lenses was truly a bit darker. Oh, these look totally badass, too. Not that that matters, right?

What the Eye Dr Ordered
This is my fifth different photochromatic lens from Julbo and probably my favorite. They are clear enough to wear on my bike at night or to put on for a sunrise run and have them darken as the sun comes up. The copper high contrast tint is perfect for picking out roots on a trail run without robbing the world of its natural color. The grippy temples hold my head without discomfort and slide under hats and helmet straps with ease. The lenses provide great coverage and wrap around protection and the nose bridge vent seems to work as intended. Except on snow or water, where I'll want a polarized lens, I expect I'll have these on anytime I'm outside until the lenses are scratched beyond usefulness.

Little bit on the bright side
I was thinking that when I put them on, it would darken a little bit, with bright sunshine. However, it only had a slight darkness. It's a little brighter than I was expecting, but I guess you can't have the best of both worlds all at once.
