Vent Lightweight shorts are the best, great fit and feel, awesome stretch. I like the stretch waistband with the tie off for any situation, like just loose and relaxing or tighten it up and get serious.

Just right for my needs

Just-right shorts for trail hiking, trotting or casual everyday use. Light-weight, sturdy and breathable. Pockets are perfect for phone, car key-fob and dog-bags or otherwise. Nine inch length works well.

I wore the shorts backpacking in the Grand canyon for 5 days and they worked great. Was a warm trip so in and out of water a lot. A lined option would be nice for water use. Love the idea of the side zipper pocket, but the side zipper is too short for a large phone. My phone (S25 ultra) won't fit. Zipper needs to be about 1-2" longer.
