Blade Rear Tail Light

So far so good

I've recently installed and run this light on my 2021 giant tcr with the aero seat post. One thing to note that was not clear to me when I made this purchase is that the seat post mount that comes with the blade can not be mounted to an aero seat post like the tcr has. I swear I read all the information on the outbound site before placing my order but I didn't realize it only supported round seat posts. Anyways I ordered a compatible mount through sheehy, and the fit is excellent. I'll keep putting the light through its paces but so far so good.

First impressions Blade tail light

The Blade tail light is all it is advertised to be and appears to be very rugged and a quality build. I have only used it on a few daylight rides on my gravel bike but one of them included a fairly long section of rugged single track with no issues whatsoever. I am impressed and happy to pair it with my Outbound headlights for the darkness ahead.

Well worth the price. I have been using the Blade for commuting for about a month now. I have found it convenient to use (4 modes is just right - not too many or too few). I have been very impressed with the nighttime visibility. I appreciate the easy mechanism for removal/mounting since it allows be to conveniently take the light with me when parking my bike to avoid it getting stolen. It has held up fine in water.
